The Thistles, Stirling Shows That It's Good To Love Rubbish
18 January 2010
On Monday 18th January The Thistles, Stirling
gathered together the cream of Stirling Council and a range of
supportive retail mascots to launch its new 'Love Rubbish'
campaign.
The 'Love Rubbish' campaign aims to reduce the shopping centre's
impact on the environment and improve benchmarking in relation to
waste, and has seen the centre invest heavily in new recycling bins
for the malls, training for all its staff and paper only bins in
its offices.
The new recycling bins on the mall incorporate four bins in one,
with space for customers to recycle paper, plastic, cans and
general waste.

Geraldine El Masrour, Marketing Manager at The Thistles
commented:
"Our main aims are to demonstrate a credible commitment to
significantly reducing The Thistles' Carbon Footprint and to set
the example as a major contributor to the economy of the City of
Stirling. We've taken a big step in installing recycling bins on
the mall, and are going to be running workshops with our retailers
throughout 2010 in an effort to continue achieving high levels of
recycling success throughout the entire centre."
